We have a Wii!!! we have the sports pack thingy too. My older sister hit me with the remote really hard while playing tennis. Easter is so hectic this year. of course we get three of them!
i went four-wheeling with my family on my dad's side. i loved it. they let me drive off alone and take it on a few jumps. there was a couple guys with dirt bikes and i really wanted to ride on those. the best part was that i got to go off some jumps and get some pretty good air. they let me drive it back to grandma's after the fourth run, that was awesome. first time I've driven something on public roads. the noise level at grandma's was through the roof. you couldn't form three words without another kid screaming. it was okay though. now it's off to my other grandma's!

Scary thought, I'm registered for high school!! really it's nineth grade but for some odd reason it's considered high school. still though!! where have all the years gone!! i just shake my head at the thought. The classes I've chosen weren't really thought through, I'm up for Orchestra, level 2. Choir for girls. And Yearbook (which isn't guaranteed) I'm taking summer gym so there goes that stuff. still though, it's a bit unbelievable....high school.

my mom and i went to see the ballet Friday. Cinderella. it was really good. now i have to write a report on it. oh joy. it was really weird seeing people dance around like that. for like two or three minutes i wanted to be in ballet too (laugh). my favorite dancers were the fairies and the joker and the two stepsisters (who were played by men). I had a pretty cool time. a couple of the other beginning orchestra kids were there too. that's where we got our tickets; from Mrs. Silva. the other cellist was there too. the music was wonderful.
well footsal disbanded because we didn't have enough teams. now my parents are like "hey where's my money?" i found it pretty stupid, apparently so did my mom.

Soccer
well we weren't so lucky, we lost 8 to 1. last time we lost to this team it was about 14 to 1 so we've improved. i played defender for the first half, the ENTIRE first half. then played forward for the last bit. i have a lovely imprint of a soccer ball on my knee which is bruising slightly and a stomach that's argueing with my dinner. all in all a good friday night, well average at least. hm for some reason spell check isn't working oh well.

the short complaints of me
I. HATE. THE. WINTER!!!!! stuck with a stupid cold, i have a runny nose, a pounding headache, and an ear that wants to explode. fun week, right? with a new start in school and lots of friends in classes this was just the perfect time for a cold. NOT! i missed the opportunity to have fun with meemer and her young womens group and can hardly go through a class in school without a pocket full of tissues. lucky me.

WE WON!!
well against all odds SWAT, my soccer team, won our first game. the really amazing thing about it was the fact that we had no subs. our coach wasn't there nor were our best players. it was the newbies, like me an Callie, and the know it alls. i was surprised when our forwards finally got their butts in gear and started scoring.
but i would like to mention one of the girls on the other team. her name, i believe, was Dakota. she barely reached my waist in height. to me it looked like someone stamped a fragile handle with care stickers on her forehead. i must admit it was really hard to shove against someone so small, but really she's the same age as the rest of us. she had a good kick too. i found it annoying when her coach was talking to her like a three year old, but oh well i just found it funny how no one would shove her around a little.
indoor soccer is a great way to vent frustration and get out all that bottled up anger from school and the week. i have a couple friends that i can't wait to play against and am really happy, and surprised, that we've one our first game. even if all the other teams have beaten them too. i just hope it'll raise the forwards' moral and get them to start scoring.

indoor soccer is soo different
well I played my first indoor soccer game Saturday. It. Is. Hard!! I can hardly walk right and i slept until almost noon. it's so much faster paced than outdoor. you are always running and i got so tired. it felt like i had run the mile in seven minutes after. i almost threw up when i got home. oh well i guess i just need more practice. we lost our first game but it was our first time playing together. the other team had been together for about four years and was a comp. team. the score was 10 to 4. we did really good in the beginning but i guess we got cocky or tired but we were creamed. there isn't going to be any practices so we all have to practice at home. it was my first time playing indoor. there are no throw-ins unless it's kicked too high and hits the net above the walls, then you have to go about five feet from the wall and kick it off (while the ref throws to fingers to the side making you think that you have to move the ball further while really he's counting. you only have five seconds). you use the border walls around the field to kick it too, almost like passing. and the fullback, my position, can't just boot it to the end of the field. there are two red lines about 10 or 15 feet from each goal and if it doesn't bounce in the middle or roll over them then it's a penalty. substitutions are similar to hockey, you can call someone out at any time in the game. anyway it's not that its hard it's just a little too quick. you need faster reflexes and quicker feet and familiar with the wall. just not too close friends with it, it hurts when you run into it. all in all i have to buck up and play harder and practice more. start running in the morning or at night or something to get more stamina.
